Henna fades naturally over 1 to 2 weeks as your skin cells renew. It does not wash off in a single shower. To make it last longer, keep the paste on for at least 2 to 3 hours and avoid soap and water for the first 24 hours after your session.
A well applied henna design typically lasts between 1 and 2 weeks. Stain depth is darkest on hands and feet and fades faster on arms and shoulders. Aftercare, sealing oil, and no scrubbing extend the life of the design. Avoid chlorine pools for the first 48 hours.
Leave the paste on until it dries and flakes, then peel it off and rinse with water only, no soap at first. Seal the skin with baby oil, skip exfoliation and scrubs for a few days, and keep the area dry. Good aftercare keeps a stain rich for up to two weeks.
Read the full care guide →Wear black or dark clothing. Fresh henna can transfer before it fully sets, so white and bright fabrics may pick up a stain. If it is your first time, or you have sensitive skin or allergies, tell us when you book so we can guide you and arrange a patch test.
